'Five Serpants Teeth'
2011
Review By Matt Hill

Evile are now well established on the UK metal circuit and I'm sure they are in no need of introduction, with two albums 'Enter The Grave' and 'Infected Nations' under their belts, we see the third release from the Huddersfield thrashers 'Five Serpents Teeth
My first impression, this was not just another thrash album or  Evile's latest offering, this sounded something special, if a band along there career are trying to produce 'that' album, then this just might be it.
From the intro of the first track named 'Five Serpents Teeth' you know  you are listening to classic thrash but with a big Evile hallmark, something fresh and very much part of the 21st Century. 'In Dreams Of Terror' you are met with a song at break neck speed, Matt  Drake demonstrating his great vocal capability, sounding aggressive but delivered with clarity.
'Xaraya' gives you feel of a locomotive train hurtling towards you and it does hit you, with every thrash of the guitar you are compelled to bang your head.
Every track has something different to offer and no more so than when the pace is slowed right down  for  'In Memoriam'  a beautifully crafted and moving song in tribute to their bass player 'Mike Alexander' R.I.P . here again is a demonstration of how the vocals of Evile have taken a massive step up !
The album concludes with 'Long Live New Flesh' a tune that you'll be screaming out the words to when you see them live, in between banging your head and pounding your fist in the air of course.
'Five Serpents Teeth' is their best album by far and one every metal fan should have in their collection.
