Angst are a young four piece band, hailing from Sussex, who have obvious classic metal influences.
This is epic stuff from a very young and yet fairly unknown band, their sound reminds me of a young watered down version of Metallica, which is some comparison I know, but these lads have massive potential, with the track 'Dark Rising' being my favourite of the three track EP, the other two being, 'Running' and 'Cruise Liner.'
Not only are these guys very talented musicians, as you will here, but their song writing talents are top drawer, albeit a bit raw.
They write authentic style metal tracks as this EP will show you and musically all are faultlessly performed. The only thing I can pick up on is that at times, the vocal capabilities are not yet strong enough to pull off the epic type songs they are trying to write, but this will come as Liam’s voice matures, as did James Hatfield’s of Metallica.
I really like these guys though and can see them writing future metal anthems and with the right management and breaks I can see them going far. They show ability second to none so keep an eye out for these guys as I am sure we will hear more about them in
the future.
