Having met these guys I know what fun they are, so I was looking forward to hearing their album.
I was pleasantly supprised, as for some reason i was expecting another run of the mill screamo band, but I soon realised how wrong you can be as there music is more on the lines of mid to hard rock with lyrics you can actually hear. The lesson here is you should never judge on appearances.
This is well written and well executed stuff and a pleasant change from the enless screamo dross that I get sent to hear.
'Ties that bind' is the opening track and is an absolute gem, it shows the bands talents for writing great lyrics and great guitar riffs, and this has to be my favourite track on the album, its a great opener to a great album.
These guys do everything, from designing the artwork and production, to their own PR and distribution which goes to making this even more of an achievement.
All in all a great debut album, and if better things are to come from this lot, then they will soon be up there with the rest, so if you can get hold of a copy of 'Condemed' I recommend you do so.This is for those of you who like classic well written rock music.
