'Demon Metal'
2010
Review By Jim Suffolk

Not being the world’s biggest fan of black metal fan I wasn’t instantly gripped by the latest offering from Perversor but after a couple of listens I think I’ve been converted!

From the start till the end this short, but sweet black metal album just doesn’t slow down. Ok the drums might get repetitive after a while but find me any black metal band that doesn’t use these same techniques. If it aint broke, don’t fix it.
Every track on the album is fast, brutal and catchy. Whilst writing this I’m bobbing my head away with my headphones on struggling not to break into a full on head banging session.

I wouldn’t have said there were any standout tracks for me, this is not to say the album wasn’t good but there doesn’t seem to be a “single” in the sense of a song everyone recognises the album for.

My personal favourite track to listen to is a hard choice because there are some really awesome riffs being thrown around, especially the half step, slowed down stuff. But after careful thought I have to say that “March to the Temple of Doom” is my favourite to listen to.

I struggle to offer a comparison as black metal bands are a bit of a grey area for me but anyone looking for some brutal, blast beat induced metal should definitely consider checking this album out.
