MG How’s the tour going so far?

Alex Really well man, it’s cool to be back over here. We were in Norwich not long ago on Triviums latest UK tour. It’s good to be back.

MG How did you guys get onto this brutal tour line-up?

Alex Well we’ve been touring the states with the Job guys and they invited us over here! We’ve been doing the Vans Warped Tour, Rockstar Mayhem Tour and all the American type festivals. It’s cool to come over to the UK and play some intimate venues.

MG Your last album “A New Era Of Destruction”, can you tell me a bit about it?

Alex Sure. The last record we did was a concept album. It was really cool but we wanted to change. We didn’t want our fans to think we just do these massive concept ideas so we did a normal album with different stories in it. The main theme of the album is all about the downfall of humanity but each song is different and tells a different story.

MG What have you been up to since the album came out?

Alex Just touring really man, trying to push the album. It’s difficult now with the whole internet sharing but it’s (in my opinion) the future of music. It’s like the Tape taking over from Vinyl, the CD taking over from Tape and now it’s time for downloads to take over from CD’s. It’s so expensive to do an album on cd now where as with downloads. You don’t have to pay for the cd duplication, cd cases, the paper booklet and artwork etc. Some fans will always want that hard copy but I can’t see it lasting much longer.

MG How was the download festival this year?

Alex Really good man, all the reviews from fans and critics have been really positive unfortunately we didn’t get to see any other bands play as we kinda turned up, played and had to leave.

MG Any plans for a new album?

Alex No not yet, we haven’t really thought about it.

MG What kind of set have you guys been playing on the tour?

Alex Mainly new materiel. As I mentioned earlier, we have to try to push our new album as hard as possible to get as many people as we can to buy the damn thing!

And finally...

MG If you had to eat a Raccoon, how would you cook it?

Alex I’d cut all the meat off, boil it to fuck, grill it and serve that fucker up!
